Amir Foster
Executive Director of the Association of Oil and Gas Exploration Industries in Israel
Amir Foster is an expert on the economic analysis of the Israeli gas market, which he has been studying for many years.
Before joining the Association of Oil and Gas Exploration Industries in Israel, Foster served as a private consultant on energy issues in general and about natural gas in particular. He conducted numerous studies in this field as well as business valuations for oil and gas assets in Israel and around the world through the Foster Consultancy Group, a company under his ownership. The company's clients include private investors, public companies, and various institutions in Israel and internationally.
Foster previously served as the association's head of strategy and research. He has also worked as an energy analyst at Dash—DS Investments and Securities and as a leading energy analyst at the Peilim Portfolio Management company. He has a Master of Science degree in finance and accounting from Tel Aviv University.
As the head of strategy and research at the Association of Oil and Gas Exploration Industries in Israel, Foster worked to increase the exploration and development of gas fields in Israel. In addition, he promoted competition in the gas market, encouraged the use of gas for industrial purposes as well as by the electricity market in Israel, and established Israel's standing as an international player in the energy industry.
As the association's executive director, Foster continues to pave the way toward these goals. He has been working harder than ever to increase the use of natural gas throughout the market and to strengthen Israel's standing through the export of gas to neighboring countries and Europe.
